Managed execution
Every figure below is read from the live TechRadar endpoint catalog — 5 endpoints, 10 documented request parameters, and 5 published response schemas — the same catalog Docs and Playground run against.
5 documented TechRadar endpoints, grouped into 5 request families — Article, Author and Headlines, plus 2 more.
10 request parameters are documented across those TechRadar endpoints, 7 of them required — the full input contract is public before you write any integration code.
5 of the 5 TechRadar endpoints ship a recorded example response, and 5 carry a documented response schema — you can code against the real JSON before the first request.
TechRadar endpoints document their error responses (400, 404, 429 and 503) alongside the success schema, so a block, a rate limit, or a missing record comes back as a typed error rather than silently empty data.
5 hosted MCP tools back the TechRadar endpoints, so an agent can call the same routes with the same parameters and the same JSON contract, with no custom glue.

Endpoint catalog
/techradar/articleReturns a TechRadar article by canonical `url` on `techradar.com`: title, description, section, authors, publication and update times, lead image, the body `paragraphs` and a `paywalled` flag.
MCP tool techradar_article
/techradar/authorReturns a TechRadar author's profile, looked up by `slug` (for example `tom-power`) or canonical `url`, which may end in `/page/<n>`; exactly one is required. `page` (1-based, default 1) overrides any page in `url`. The response has the name, `job_title`, biography, social links, one page of articles and `has_next_page`.
MCP tool techradar_author
/techradar/headlinesReturns the latest TechRadar stories for one section hub. `section` is required and takes one of 25 slugs such as `computing`, `phones`, `audio`, `gaming`, `deals`, `reviews`, `news` or `vpn`. Each item has its title, URL, summary, publication time, author and image.
MCP tool techradar_headlines
/techradar/newsReturns TechRadar's latest top stories across the site. Takes no parameters, and `techradar-headlines` narrows by section instead. Each item has its title, URL, summary, publication time, author and image.
MCP tool techradar_news
/techradar/sectionsLists the 25 top-level TechRadar sections that `techradar-headlines` accepts, such as `computing`, `phones`, `best`, `deals` and `how-to`. Each entry has a `slug`, a display `name` and the section page `url`.

How to scrape TechRadar
TechRadar is Future's consumer technology publication, with reviews, buying guides, how-tos, deals, and coverage of phones, computing, televisions, cameras, and homes. A product mention is not always a review, and a discounted item is not necessarily an editorial recommendation. Preserve article format and product model alongside the publication date before using this material in commerce or purchase-intent analysis. On 2026-10-25 the documented list held 25 slugs mixing products (phones, tablets, vpn), formats (best, reviews, versus, how-to) and commerce (deals, seasonal-sales). The vpn feed returned 10 items, eight of them dated 2026-10-23, and included evergreen guides marked Updated, a Proton VPN review and Black Friday VPN deals already live. A second pull on 2026-10-27 re-checked the 25-slug section list and the cross-section feed.
/techradar/sections mixes product slugs (vpn, phones, televisions) with format slugs (best, reviews, versus, deals). A product feed carries all formats, while a format feed carries many products.
The vpn sample led with a best-cheap-VPN guide whose summary starts with Updated, alongside a Proton VPN review and Black Friday previews. A new published_at on an evergreen page is a refresh, so keep the URL as the identity.
A Black Friday VPN story dated 2026-10-23 and a NordVPN deal of the week from 2026-10-22 were both live. Store collection time with every price or offer.
Pass a canonical public URL to /techradar/article and use /techradar/author for the named contributor when available, then separate news, reviews and sponsored-style deals before analysis.
TechRadar lists 25 slugs (ai-platforms-assistants, audio, best, cameras, computing, deals, gaming, how-to, how-to-watch, news, opinion, phones). On 2026-10-30 ai-platforms-assistants returned 10 headlines with 9 in the 50-story strip while audio returned 10 from 2026-10-27 to 2026-10-29 with 2 in the strip, so topic slugs overlap the strip unevenly.
The cross-section news route returned 50 stories from 2026-10-26 12:59 UTC to 2026-10-27 07:15 UTC, with bylines on 50 of 50, summaries on 50 of 50 and images on 50 of 50. Poll it for new items, then enrich them from a section feed.

Evergreen guides are republished with an Updated marker. In the 2026-10-25 vpn sample the best-cheap-VPN guide carried a 2026-10-23 timestamp.
vpn is a product vertical holding news, reviews and guides; deals is a commerce format across products. Query both if you need offers.
It returned 10 items, eight from 2026-10-23, so a single day can fill the sample. Page by date, not count.
