CNET API endpoint
Returns public CNET article metadata and body paragraphs from a canonical article URL. CNET articles are freely readable; video-only pages and pages without an article body are reported as upstream errors rather than returned empty.
/cnet/articleQuery parameter: url is a canonical HTTPS cnet.com article URL, for example https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/<slug>/. Returns public metadata (title, description, publication and update times, section labels, authors, lead image) and the article body paragraphs.
CNET articles are freely readable, with no subscription wall. Video-only pages, hub or category pages, and any page without a readable article body are returned as an upstream error rather than an empty article. Sponsored posts live under /paid-content/ in their URL and are returned like any other article, so check the URL path if you need to tell them apart. Inline widgets such as embedded videos, image captions, and the author footer are not included in paragraphs.
