Google API endpoint
Returns current Google News search results. Pages slice the finite result snapshot; they do not traverse the Google Search index. Results include title, source, publisher article URL, age, and thumbnail when available. Valid no-results searches and exhausted pages return an empty array. Locale defaults to country=us and lang=en. Returns 503 for blocked or malformed upstream responses.
/google/newsMCP tool: google_news
Returns search results from the current Google News result snapshot. Requires the x-api-key header.
Query parameters:
q: required search query, for example openai. Supports Google News query syntax, including quoted phrases, excluded words (-word), publisher domains (site:reuters.com), and relative time windows (when:7d).page: optional 1-based page within the current result snapshot. Defaults to 1.count: optional results per page. Defaults to 10, clamped to 1..50.country: optional two-letter country code. Defaults to us.lang: optional language code. Defaults to en.Notable response behavior:
q to retrieve a more specific set of stories.next_page appears only when another item exists; a full final page does not advertise another page.results: [] without next_page.503.url links directly to the publisher. thumbnail is included when available.
