Healthgrades hospital profile API

Returns one Healthgrades hospital profile: hospital-wide and specialty awards with years, clinical outcome ratings by service line (procedure or condition, measure, outcome rating, and 1-5 stars), patient-experience measures with national comparisons, address, and phone. Patient-authored reviews are not returned. Requests use US egress because Healthgrades restricts content by region.

How this endpoint behaves

Query parameters:

url (required): a Healthgrades hospital profile URL (https://www.healthgrades.com/hospital/<slug>), as returned in facilities[].url by /api/v1/healthgrades/facilities/search with type=hospital.

Returns the hospital name, description, address, phone, awards (name, category such as Hospital Quality Awards or Specialty Excellence Awards, description, and years), clinical_ratings grouped by service line (each rating has its type such as Complication Based Ratings or Mortality Based Ratings, the procedure or condition, the measure, the outcome rating such as Better than Expected, As Expected, or Worse than Expected, and stars 1-5), and patient_experience measures (percent and national comparison). Rating families, measures, and outcome labels are returned as data. Patient-authored reviews are not returned. Unknown hospitals return 404.
