MLB API endpoint
Returns the game-level pitch or batted-ball rows shown when expanding a batter or pitcher row in the standard Statcast leaderboard, including matchup, date, event, exit velocity, launch angle, distance, play id, and video availability.
/mlb/statcast-player-detailsQuery parameters:
player_id (required): Positive MLB player id copied from a standard Statcast batter or pitcher row.player_type (optional): batter or pitcher. Defaults to batter. Team leaderboard rows do not have expandable player details.year (optional): Season from 2015 through the current season. Defaults to the current season. /api/v1/mlb/discovery returns statcast_min_year and statcast_max_year for the accepted bounds.The endpoint returns every game-level play displayed when the MLB.com user expands a standard Statcast player row. Each play preserves the source fields, including game date, batter and pitcher identities, event, exit speed, launch angle, hit distance, play id, and video availability. A player with no matching plays returns an empty plays array. The UI also sends type and min_ab on this request, but anonymous replay verified those inputs do not change the detail response, so the public contract omits them. Find accepted player_type values in /api/v1/mlb/discovery.
