Nation Africa top stories API
Returns the newest Nation Africa (Daily Nation, Kenya) stories from its public news sitemap: headline, publication time and lead image. If the sitemap returns 404, it falls back to the public News section hub, whose relative timestamps may omit publication time. Video pages are excluded.

How this endpoint behaves
Returns the newest public Nation Africa (Daily Nation, Kenya) stories from the site's own news sitemap: title, canonical article URL, publication time and lead image. The list covers roughly the last two days across all sections (about 20 stories, newest first); use /api/v1/nationafrica/headlines for a single section. Video pages are left out. The site publishes no RSS feed, and this list carries no summary or byline; /api/v1/nationafrica/article returns those.
If the news sitemap returns 404, this endpoint falls back to the public News section hub. The hub response includes story-card fields and may omit published_at, because the page exposes relative timestamps rather than absolute publication times. A blocked or transient sitemap failure remains an upstream error and does not trigger this fallback.
