Rotten Tomatoes API endpoint
Returns the public body, paragraphs, headings, links, images, and video embeds from an Editorial article, gallery, guide, on-the-go article, or preview. Discover paths from editorial content collections. The response body_html preserves public Gutenberg/ranked-list markup.
/rottentomatoes/editorial/detailReturns full public Editorial article content. Discover a matching path through /api/v1/rottentomatoes/editorial/content; the endpoint accepts article, gallery, guide, on-the-go article, and preview paths. Non-Rotten-Tomatoes publication records use the public /article/{slug}/ page path.
Query parameters:
path (required): one discovered path shaped as /article/{slug}/, /gallery/{slug}/, /guide/{slug}/, /otg-article/{slug}/, or /prev/{slug}/.Accepted content type values: article, gallery, guide, otg-article, prev.
The response includes the public .content-body HTML, readable paragraphs and headings, linked URLs, images, video embed URLs, article metadata, and the source URL. The HTML preserves Gutenberg and ranked-list markup for consumers that need the original structure. WordPress editorial polls, hubs, hub subpages, and section index pages are list/archive surfaces and are not accepted by this article-detail endpoint.
