WIRED API endpoint
Returns one public WIRED article's metadata and full body paragraphs from a canonical article URL. WIRED marks some stories subscriber-only in the page's own metadata; those return a 403 permission error rather than a truncated or fabricated body -- see the endpoint markdown for the exact detection method.
/wired/articleQuery parameter: required url, a canonical WIRED story URL (e.g. https://www.wired.com/story/example-story/). Query strings and fragments are stripped; the URL is canonicalized to https://www.wired.com.
Returns one public WIRED article's metadata — title, description, published_at, updated_at, section, authors, image_url — plus its body paragraphs in order.
Behavior:
"paywall subscriber only content" content-classification keyword). Those return 403 instead of a body; no truncated or fabricated text is ever returned for a subscriber-only story.503./story/ URLs (including WIRED's separate /review/ product-review pages) and non-WIRED hosts return 400 before any upstream request.| Field | In the sample | Value in the sample |
