FT API endpoint
Returns one public Financial Times article's metadata and body paragraphs from a canonical article URL. Subscriber-only articles that the FT serves as a subscription page are not available.
/ft/articleQuery parameter: required url, a canonical Financial Times article URL (e.g. https://www.ft.com/content/018aa34c-2498-4120-906b-5baf36e98c77). Query strings and fragments are stripped; the URL is canonicalized to https://www.ft.com.
Returns one public FT article's metadata — title, description, published_at, updated_at, section, authors, tags, image_url, word_count — plus its body paragraphs in order.
Behavior:
403; a paywalled article is never returned as a hollow success. Challenge pages, malformed article documents, or selector/schema drift return 503 instead of being misclassified as paywalls.503.400 before any upstream request.| Parameter | Type | Required | Default | Description | Example |
