Managed execution
Every figure below is read from the live Collider endpoint catalog — 5 endpoints, 8 documented request parameters, and 5 published response schemas — the same catalog Docs and Playground run against.
5 documented Collider endpoints, grouped into 5 request families — Article, Author and Headlines, plus 2 more.
8 request parameters are documented across those Collider endpoints, 8 of them required — the full input contract is public before you write any integration code.
5 of the 5 Collider endpoints ship a recorded example response, and 5 carry a documented response schema — you can code against the real JSON before the first request.
Collider endpoints document their error responses (400, 404, 429 and 503) alongside the success schema, so a block, a rate limit, or a missing record comes back as a typed error rather than silently empty data.
5 hosted MCP tools back the Collider endpoints, so an agent can call the same routes with the same parameters and the same JSON contract, with no custom glue.

Endpoint catalog
/collider/headlinesReturns fresh headlines from one public Collider RSS section. Items from video categories have type video and are not readable through the article endpoint.
Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 10 items, 6 fields filled in every item. published_at: 2026-10-13; url: collider.com.
MCP tool collider_headlines
/collider/newsLists the latest Collider stories, about 10 items. Each item has its title, canonical URL, summary, publish time, author names (co-authors are joined with a comma) and lead image. Takes no parameters.
Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 10 items, 6 fields filled in every item. published_at: 2026-10-13; url: collider.com.
MCP tool collider_news
/collider/sectionsLists the Collider section slugs that `collider-headlines` accepts, such as `movie-news`, `tv-reviews`, `trailers`, `interviews`, `horror` and `video-games`. Each entry has the `slug`, display `name` and feed `url`. Takes no parameters.
Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 48 items, 3 fields filled in every item. name: “News” and 47 other values; url: collider.com.
MCP tool collider_sections
/collider/articleReturns one Collider article by its `url`, which must be a single-segment `https://collider.com/<slug>/` address. The response has the title, description, publish and update times, section, authors, lead image and body `paragraphs`. Section hubs and video or author pages are rejected as invalid parameters.
Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 9 of 9 fields returned with a value. published_at: 2026-09-24; section: “Movie News”.
MCP tool collider_article
/collider/authorReturns a Collider author profile for a `url` of the form `https://collider.com/author/<slug>/`. The response has the name, title, image, biography, `social_links` (type and URL) and the roughly 20 latest articles on the profile. Paginated author URLs are rejected, so older articles are not available.
Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 20 items, 4 fields filled in every item. url: collider.com; title: median 77 characters.

How to scrape Collider
Collider's split between movie and TV reporting lets entertainment teams identify whether a story is a review, trailer, feature, or breaking announcement. Collider separates movie and television coverage into news, features, reviews, and trailers. That distinction matters when tracking a release: a trailer post, critical review, and casting report can all mention the same title but represent different events. Its 2026-09-26 feed included Last of Us season-three casting and Hobbs & Shaw streaming-chart coverage. Preserve the title, medium, content format, publication date, and article URL so a timeline does not mistake commentary or promotion for a production announcement. A pull on 2026-10-27 listed 48 sections, including a dormant slug (max) whose newest story was from May 2024. A second pull on 2026-10-27 re-checked the 48-slug section list and the cross-section feed.
The sections route lists slugs such as movie-news, tv-reviews, trailers, interviews, horror and video-games, each with a feed URL.
Items from video categories have type video and are not readable through the article endpoint.
Article calls need a https://collider.com/<slug>/ address; section hubs and video or author pages are rejected.
The author route takes https://collider.com/author/<slug>/ and returns name, title, image, biography, social links and the roughly 20 latest articles. Paginated author URLs are rejected, and article authors[] are names only.
max returned 10 stories from 2023-10-10 to 2024-05-17, while movie-tv-news returned 10 across about two hours (2026-10-26 20:53 to 23:07 UTC). Check the newest stamp before scheduling a slug.
movie-tv-news, tv-movie-news and movies overlap in scope, so deduplicate by URL. All sampled rows had byline, summary and image.
Collider lists 48 slugs, including movie-tv-news and tv-movie-news. On 2026-10-30 those two returned 10 headlines each with different windows (2026-10-29 23:10 to 2026-10-30 02:00 UTC versus 23:00 to 01:30), sharing 2 and 1 stories with the strip.
The cross-section news route returned 10 stories from 2026-10-30 01:30 to 04:51 UTC with bylines, summaries and images on all 10.
