Managed execution
Every figure below is read from the live PC Gamer endpoint catalog — 5 endpoints, 10 documented request parameters, and 5 published response schemas — the same catalog Docs and Playground run against.
5 documented PC Gamer endpoints, grouped into 5 request families — Article, Author and Headlines, plus 2 more.
10 request parameters are documented across those PC Gamer endpoints, 7 of them required — the full input contract is public before you write any integration code.
5 of the 5 PC Gamer endpoints ship a recorded example response, and 5 carry a documented response schema — you can code against the real JSON before the first request.
PC Gamer endpoints document their error responses (400, 404, 429 and 503) alongside the success schema, so a block, a rate limit, or a missing record comes back as a typed error rather than silently empty data.
5 hosted MCP tools back the PC Gamer endpoints, so an agent can call the same routes with the same parameters and the same JSON contract, with no custom glue.

Endpoint catalog
/pcgamer/articleReturns a PC Gamer article by canonical `pcgamer.com` `url`; review pages work the same way as news articles. The response has title, description, section, authors, lead image, publication and update times, a `paywalled` flag and body `paragraphs`.
Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 7 of 7 fields returned with a value. published_at: 2026-09-24; section: “Gaming Keyboards”.
MCP tool pcgamer_article
/pcgamer/authorReturns a PC Gamer author profile by `slug` (for example `harvey-randall`) or a pcgamer.com author `url`; supply exactly one. `page` picks the 1-based page of recent articles (default 1) and overrides a `/page/<n>` segment in `url`. The response has `name`, `job_title`, `biography`, `social_links`, articles, `page` and `has_next_page`.
Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 25 items, 3 fields filled in every item. url: pcgamer.com; title: median 106 characters.
MCP tool pcgamer_author

How to scrape PC Gamer
PC Gamer is a Future publication focused on computer games and the hardware used to play them. Its review policy uses a 100-point scale, generally leaves Early Access games unscored, and says game review scores are final even when later coverage follows updates; selected hardware scores can change. Preserve review type, score, and publication date rather than comparing a guide or review-in-progress with a final verdict. The section endpoint exposes top-level hubs, while the main news endpoint uses the public RSS feed. A 2026-10-27 pull listed only 8 sections but showed very different depths: deals returned 10 stories and hardware returned 133 rows reaching back to November 2024.
The sections route lists deals, games, gaming-industry, guides, hardware, movies-tv, news and software.
Article calls on a canonical pcgamer.com URL return title, description, section, authors, lead image, publication and update times, a paywalled flag and body paragraphs; review pages work the same way as news articles.
The author route takes a slug (for example harvey-randall) or an author URL, exactly one.
page picks the 1-based page of recent articles (default 1) and overrides a /page/<n> segment in the URL.
hardware returned 133 rows from 2024-11-27 to 2026-10-26 with bylines and images but no summaries. deals returned 10 stories from 2026-10-21 to 2026-10-24, so it needs a slower interval.
The news route returned 50 stories from 2026-10-24 14:00 UTC to 2026-10-27 00:18, each with a byline, summary and image. Other slugs are games, gaming-industry, guides, movies-tv and software.
