Managed execution
Every figure below is read from the live Reddit endpoint catalog — 19 endpoints, 106 documented request parameters, and 19 published response schemas — the same catalog Docs and Playground run against.
19 documented Reddit endpoints, grouped into 10 request families — Archive, Subreddit and User, plus 7 more.
106 request parameters are documented across those Reddit endpoints, 38 of them required — the full input contract is public before you write any integration code.
19 of the 19 Reddit endpoints ship a recorded example response, and 19 carry a documented response schema — you can code against the real JSON before the first request.
Reddit endpoints document their error responses (400, 404, 429 and 503) alongside the success schema, so a block, a rate limit, or a missing record comes back as a typed error rather than silently empty data.
19 hosted MCP tools back the Reddit endpoints, so an agent can call the same routes with the same parameters and the same JSON contract, with no custom glue.

Featured endpoints
/reddit/searchSearches public Reddit content and returns public post entries. A `503` with a `Retry-After` header means Reddit is temporarily throttling the request; wait that many seconds and retry. If source.type is redlib, public fields and credit weights are preserved.
Response notes
When the native Reddit source fails, the service can use the internal Redlib provider. Fallback responses retain the same fields and credit weights and report `source.type=redlib` with a public Reddit URL. Listing cursors use the upstream JSON cursor; results remain bounded by `limit`. Temporary provider, authentication, rate-limit and parser failures return `503`, while confirmed missing resources return `404`. Provider selection is server configuration.
Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 20 items, 11 fields filled in every item. created_utc: 2025-05-04 to 2026-10-04; url: reddit.com.

/reddit/subreddit/{subreddit}/postsReturns public posts from a subreddit. A `503` with a `Retry-After` header means Reddit is temporarily throttling the request; wait that many seconds and retry. If source.type is redlib, public fields and credit weights are preserved.

MCP tool reddit_subreddit_posts
/reddit/post/{id}Returns a public Reddit post. The default mode is 1 credit. Set `include_metrics=true` to return public net score, upvote ratio, comment count, award count, and estimated upvote/downvote totals for 3 credits. Reddit fuzzes voting data, so estimates are approximate; share, repost/crosspost, and view counts are not exposed anonymously. If source.type is redlib, public fields and credit weights are preserved.

Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 25 of 25 fields returned with a value. post.created_utc: 2026-07-28; post.score: 17,312.
MCP tool reddit_post
/reddit/comments/{id}Returns a Reddit post with its public comments. The default mode is 1 credit. Set `include_metrics=true` to return the comments with public net score and award count plus post engagement metrics for 3 credits. Large threads may expose only an initial comment subset. Reddit does not expose per-comment upvote ratios or exact upvote/downvote totals anonymously. A post that exists but has no comments yet returns a 200 response with an empty comments list; a post that does not exist returns 404, and a temporary block or upstream failure returns 503 (retryable) rather than 404. If source.type is redlib, public fields and credit weights are preserved.
Response notes
Redlib comment fallback preserves flat entries with actual `parent_id` and `depth`, caps the total returned comments at `limit`, and returns the bounded upstream subset without expanding `more` nodes. When the native Reddit source fails, the service can use the internal Redlib provider. Fallback responses retain the same fields and credit weights and report `source.type=redlib` with a public Reddit URL. Listing cursors use the upstream JSON cursor; results remain bounded by `limit`. Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 3 items, 10 fields filled in every item, 1 not. created_utc: 2026-05-22; score: 2 to 8, median 2.
MCP tool reddit_comments
/reddit/archive/comments/{id}/treeReturns a bounded nested comment tree from Arctic Shift's public archive. `t1` entries contain comments and their replies; `more` entries mark collapsed branches and include child ids/counts. Omitted parent_id requests the whole tree, while an explicitly empty parent_id requests top-level comments only. Empty archived trees return 200 with an empty comments array. Archived scores can lag changes for roughly 36 hours; slow or throttled upstream requests return 503 with Retry-After.
Sampled 25 Oct 2026: 1 item, 2 fields filled in every item.
MCP tool reddit_archive_comments_tree
/reddit/archive/comments/idsLooks up known Reddit comment ids in Arctic Shift's historical archive. Supply 1 to 1,000 comma-separated ids; duplicates are removed, results follow input order, and missing ids are listed separately. The service sends at most two upstream requests of up to 500 ids each. Archived scores are snapshots, and removed_by_category is included when available.
Response notes
Credit weight: 3 credits per 100 returned comments, minimum 3 and maximum 30.
Sampled 25 Oct 2026: 1 item, 11 fields filled in every item. created_utc: 2012-08-29; body: median 564 characters.

Company coverage
Reddit, Inc. · RDDT
Reddit is operated by Reddit, Inc. (RDDT). Crawlora's SEC endpoints take the same company's CIK, so filings, financials, insider transactions and 13F holdings come from the same API key as the Reddit endpoints above.
SEC filings & financials API →How to scrape Reddit
Reddit throws a bot-verification wall at naive scrapers. Crawlora's Reddit endpoints return public subreddit, post, comment, and search data as structured JSON. A pull on 2026-10-27 showed a web scraping search whose first row was the r/webscraping community itself, a Python community feed with 25 recent posts, and a 25-post hot list.
/reddit/post/1v8hy3q?include_metrics=true returned score 17,320 with upvote_ratio 0.9458, estimated_upvotes 18,374, estimated_downvotes 1,054 and vote_counts_estimated true, so the vote split is an estimate. /reddit/comments/{id} returned the post (score 78, 15 comments in the sample) with its tree.
The archive routes read Arctic Shift: the ids routes return requested_count, returned_count and missing_ids, and subreddits/search for OpenAI returned 20 rows sorted by subscribers. On 2026-10-30 the comment-tree route answered 503 Arctic Shift comment tree request failed while the ids routes worked.
/reddit/domain/openai.com/posts?limit=20 returned 20 hot posts with an after cursor, read from an RSS feed. /reddit/leads for crm for small teams in r/smallbusiness scanned 5 posts, prefiltered 3 and returned 2 with the heuristic classifier.
Re-run on a schedule to track brand mentions, sentiment, and trending discussions.
search for web scraping with limit 10 returned a first row that was the r/webscraping subreddit (created 2014-04-06) with an empty id rather than a post. Drop rows with no id.
subreddit-about for python returned recent_post_count 25, a latest_post_created of 2026-10-27T00:00:14Z and a 25-row sample. Its feed URL uses limit 25, so it is a sample, not a count of all posts.
trends returned 25 hot posts and an after value (t3_1xfuopf) to continue. Post ids come with a t3_ prefix in the name field.

Send a subreddit, post URL, or search query to Crawlora's Reddit endpoint and get structured JSON — titles, scores, authors, comment threads, subreddit metadata — without registering an OAuth app or hitting rate caps. Collect public data and respect Reddit's terms.
Reddit shows a bot-verification wall to unauthenticated requests. Crawlora's managed execution returns public posts and comments instead of the challenge, without accessing private subreddits or any logged-in data.
Collecting publicly accessible posts and comments is generally permissible if you respect Reddit's terms of use, robots directives, rate limits, and applicable law. This is for public data you're authorized to collect.
Reddit's commercial API costs $0.24 per 1,000 calls with a $12,000/year minimum commitment, and free-tier self-serve registration is closed — new OAuth apps need manual approval that can take 2-4 weeks. Crawlora returns the same public posts, comments, and subreddit data with one API key and no approval wait.
No. The first row of a web scraping search on 2026-10-27 was the subreddit r/webscraping, with an empty id.
