Try the Yahoo Sports scoreboard API

- A valid date with no games returns an empty `games` array (not an error). - `away_score`/`home_score` are `null` until the game starts. - `status` is Yahoo's raw status code (e.g. `PREGAME`, `INPROGRESS`, `FINAL`); `status_display` is the human-readable label. - Each game's `slug` is the identifier the `game`/boxscore endpoint expects. - Soccer games include their upstream `competition` ID, name, URL, and league logo where Yahoo embeds them. - The combined root response always includes the full current competition catalog. With `competition_id`, `count` and `games` reflect the selected source competition; a valid competition with no games on that date returns an empty array. - Invalid `league`/`date` values return an invalid-parameter error before upstream IO.
