RNZ API endpoint
Returns public RNZ news article metadata and body paragraphs from a canonical rnz.co.nz/news/<section>/<id>/<slug> article URL. RNZ has no paywall, so the full body is returned.
/rnz/articleQuery parameter: url is a canonical HTTPS https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/<section>/<id>/<slug> article URL (the slug may be empty on RNZ中文 stories). Query strings and fragments are ignored. Lifestyle guides (/life/...), audio programme pages and section hubs are not article pages and return a 400 invalid-params error.
The response has the title, description, published_at (RFC 3339, UTC), section (the most specific breadcrumb, for example Auckland), authors, lead image and the full body paragraphs. RNZ is publicly funded and has no paywall, so the full body is always returned and paywalled is never set; there is no gated example URL. RNZ中文 translations list the translator as the author.
Renamed sections: feed links may still use an older section name (political, regional, te-manu-korihi, chinese-english, media-technology) that RNZ redirects to a new one (politics, regions, te-ao-maori, chinese_english, business_media). Either form is accepted and the response url uses the current one.
