How this endpoint behaves

Returns one RNZ reporter's public profile: name, role, bio, email, X/Twitter link, photo, the total number of news stories RNZ lists for them, and the first page (up to 25) of those stories.

Query parameters:

slug (optional): an author slug, e.g. ellen-o-dwyer.
url (optional): a canonical https://www.rnz.co.nz/authors/<slug> URL, as an alternative to slug.

Exactly one of slug/url is required. Only the first page of stories is returned (article_count is the full total). Each story's published_label is RNZ's own date text ("8:58 am today", "23 Sep 2026"), not a timestamp. email and twitter are present only when the profile shows them. An unknown slug returns a 404.
