RTÉ News API endpoint
Returns public RTÉ News article metadata and body paragraphs from a canonical rte.ie/news article URL. RTÉ News articles are free to read; paywalled is omitted.
/rte/articleQuery parameter: url is a canonical HTTPS rte.ie news article URL in the form /news/YYYY/MMDD/<id>-<slug>/ or /news/<section>/YYYY/MMDD/<id>-<slug>/. Returns public metadata and body paragraphs.
authors lists every named byline author; wire and agency stories are attributed to RTÉ News. section is the article's own section label (for example Politics), or News when it has none. RTÉ News articles are free to read, so paywalled is omitted. Video-led stories can be genuinely short (one or two paragraphs); embedded video and social players are not part of paragraphs.
