How to use X endpoints

X public pages are rendered for interactive browsing, not simple JSON export. Crawlora's X endpoints return public post and profile data as structured JSON. A pull on 2026-10-27 of @NASA returned a profile created 2007-12-19 with a Government verified type, and five recent posts, the newest dated 2026-10-23.

Step 1
Open a post by numeric id
/x/post/{id} returned the text, created_at (2026-06-28T08:27:51Z in the sample), an author object with is_blue_verified, and a metrics block. Keep the id as a string.
Step 2
Expect an empty metrics block on profiles
/x/profile/openai returned id 4398626122, username OpenAI and a description, but created_at 0001-01-01T00:00:00Z and an empty metrics object on 2026-10-30. Treat the zero date as missing.
Step 3
Treat limit as an upper bound on the timeline
/x/profile/openai/posts?limit=20 returned count 5 posts, each with id, url, text, created_at, author and metrics. Store the count you received rather than assuming the limit.
Step 4
Read verification as two fields
The NASA profile (id 11348282) returned is_blue_verified true and a separate verified_type of Government, so a paid check and an organizational type are different signals.
Step 5
Page recent posts with the limit parameter
profile-posts with limit 5 returned 5 posts, each with an id, URL, text, created_at (the first 2026-10-23T23:37:56Z), the author and a metrics object of replies, reposts and likes. Keep ids as strings.

Retrieve an X post

Returns a public X post by numeric post id, including author, text, visible metrics, and a quoted post preview when present.

Required: id. Optional: username.

Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 20 fields returned with a value. In the sample: created_at: 2026-06-28; metrics.replies: 12; url: x.com; author.is_blue_verified: true; text: 461 characters; author.url: x.com; author.avatar_url: pbs.twimg.com; metrics.reposts: 4.

GET/x/profile/{username}apiKey8 credits/request

Retrieve an X profile

Returns the public profile of an X account by `username`, with or without a leading `@`: name, description, location, avatar and banner images, creation date, verification flags, and `metrics` for followers, following, posts, likes, listed and media. `verified_type` and `affiliate_label` appear only when the account has them. Returns 404 when the profile is not public.

Required: username.

Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 15 fields returned with a value. In the sample: created_at: 2015-12-06; metrics.followers: 5,430,397; url: x.com; is_blue_verified: true; description: 130 characters; avatar_url: pbs.twimg.com; banner_url: pbs.twimg.com; external_url: openai.com.

GET/x/profile/{username}/postsapiKey8 credits/request

List public X profile posts

Returns posts present in the first public profile page payload for an X username. The endpoint does not paginate replies, media-only tabs, or search results.

Required: username. Optional: limit.

Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 5 items. Filled in every item: id, url, text, created_at, author, metrics. In the sample: created_at: 2026-09-30 to 2026-10-07; url: x.com; text: median 639 characters.
