Managed execution
Every figure below is read from the live X endpoint catalog — 3 endpoints, 8 documented request parameters, and 3 published response schemas — the same catalog Docs and Playground run against.
3 documented X endpoints, grouped into 2 request families — Profile and Post.
8 request parameters are documented across those X endpoints, 6 of them required — the full input contract is public before you write any integration code.
3 of the 3 X endpoints ship a recorded example response, and 3 carry a documented response schema — you can code against the real JSON before the first request.
X endpoints document their error responses (400, 404 and 503) alongside the success schema, so a block, a rate limit, or a missing record comes back as a typed error rather than silently empty data.
3 hosted MCP tools back the X endpoints, so an agent can call the same routes with the same parameters and the same JSON contract, with no custom glue.

/x/post/{id}
Endpoint catalog
/x/post/{id}Returns a public X post by numeric post id, including author, text, visible metrics, and a quoted post preview when present.
Response notes
- Returns 404 when the post is not public or the optional `username` does not match the post author. - Returns 503 when X does not provide the public page payload or the payload shape is not parseable.
Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 20 of 20 fields returned with a value. created_at: 2026-06-28; metrics.replies: 12.
MCP tool x_post
/x/profile/{username}Returns the public profile of an X account by `username`, with or without a leading `@`: name, description, location, avatar and banner images, creation date, verification flags, and `metrics` for followers, following, posts, likes, listed and media. `verified_type` and `affiliate_label` appear only when the account has them. Returns 404 when the profile is not public.
Response notes
- Returns 404 when the profile is not public or the returned profile does not match the requested username. - Returns 503 when X does not provide the public page payload or the payload shape is not parseable. - `verified_type` distinguishes the flavor of the checkmark (e.g. `Business`, `Government`) and is only present for gold/grey verified accounts; ordinary blue-verified accounts omit it. - `affiliate_label` is the small highlighted-affiliation badge X shows next to the display name (e.g. `Prime Video`) and is only present when the account has one.
Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 15 of 15 fields returned with a value. created_at: 2015-12-06; metrics.followers: 5,430,397.
MCP tool x_profile
/x/profile/{username}/postsReturns posts present in the first public profile page payload for an X username. The endpoint does not paginate replies, media-only tabs, or search results.
Response notes
- Returns only posts available in the initial public profile page payload. - Returns 404 when the profile is not public or the returned profile does not match the requested username. - Returns 503 when X does not provide the public page payload or the payload shape is not parseable.
Sampled 14 Oct 2026: 5 items, 6 fields filled in every item. created_at: 2026-09-30 to 2026-10-07; url: x.com.

How to scrape X
X public pages are rendered for interactive browsing, not simple JSON export. Crawlora's X endpoints return public post and profile data as structured JSON. A pull on 2026-10-27 of @NASA returned a profile created 2007-12-19 with a Government verified type, and five recent posts, the newest dated 2026-10-23.
/x/post/{id} returned the text, created_at (2026-06-28T08:27:51Z in the sample), an author object with is_blue_verified, and a metrics block. Keep the id as a string.
/x/profile/openai returned id 4398626122, username OpenAI and a description, but created_at 0001-01-01T00:00:00Z and an empty metrics object on 2026-10-30. Treat the zero date as missing.
/x/profile/openai/posts?limit=20 returned count 5 posts, each with id, url, text, created_at, author and metrics. Store the count you received rather than assuming the limit.
The NASA profile (id 11348282) returned is_blue_verified true and a separate verified_type of Government, so a paid check and an organizational type are different signals.
profile-posts with limit 5 returned 5 posts, each with an id, URL, text, created_at (the first 2026-10-23T23:37:56Z), the author and a metrics object of replies, reposts and likes. Keep ids as strings.
Agent skills
Install a Crawlora agent skill and your agent can pull X data as JSON through the documented API, without writing a scraper. These skills cover X:

Send a public X post ID or username to Crawlora's X endpoint and get structured JSON for public posts, profiles, or the first visible profile posts page. Collect public data and respect X's terms.
Yes — Crawlora's X endpoints target public web pages and do not require your account cookies, OAuth token, or login state.
Collecting publicly accessible post and profile data is generally permissible if you respect X's terms of use, robots directives, rate limits, and applicable law. This is for public data you're authorized to collect.
X's official API is tiered and expensive: Free allows one tweet lookup every 15 minutes, Basic ($100/month) caps out at 10,000 tweets and 7 days of search history, and full-archive access needs the Pro ($5,000/month) or Enterprise (from $42,000/month) tier. Crawlora reads the same public posts and profiles without a developer app, approval, or tier.
It names the organization type. NASA showed Government on 2026-10-27 alongside is_blue_verified true.
