How this endpoint behaves

Each section has a slug (the section's URL path with / replaced by -, unique across the list), a display name, and the public section page url. Top-level sections (headlines, opinion, nation, world, business, sports, entertainment, lifestyle) have child sections (for example business-banking, lifestyle-food-and-leisure); the Filipino- and Cebuano-language print editions are pilipino-star-ngayon, pang-masa, banat and the-freeman, each with its own children. A few small microsites (for example the-freeman-region, campus, other-sections-letters-to-the-editor) list only one or two stories and some are dormant (their newest story can be months or years old).
Not listed, on purpose: the "Other Sections" hub, /events (concert and event listings), /coupons, the interaksyon.philstar.com sister site, /tags/* topic pages, redirect aliases (/komiks, /ngayon, /the-philippine-star/<section>), and legacy lifestyle pages whose story list is empty upstream.
